Below, we outline the photo rules for everybody on our app
YOU MUST BE IN ALL THE PHOTOS. All photos in the Profile Photos Album must be clearly and recognizably of you, and must show your face clearly. After all, it’s only fair that both people get to see what the other looks like.
A note on masks. In this time of Covid-19, many of us are wearing masks in public, and may have photos with masks on, that we want to share. That is fine, as long as there is at least one other photo of your full face as your first / main profile photo, and the mask photo isn't your first / main photo.
If you’re shy or have privacy concerns, you can be “Private” on Poker Date. We do have an Incognito (Control who sees you) option which allows you to hide your profile and photos to everyone on Poker Date until you swipe right on them or send a Good Vibe. So no one sees you unless you want them to. It’s easy to switch on/off any time in your settings.
No kids on their own.
They must be in the photo with you, and fully clothed. We recognize and love that some parents want to be open about having children on their dating profiles.
However, we will remove:
- Photos of your kids without you in the photo
- Photos of your kids or someone else's kids, even if you are in the photo if their other parent/guardian tells us they don't give permission to post them
- Same goes for Pets. No pets on their own. They must be in the photo with you, and they need not have clothes.
- Photos of you as a kid
No photos in bikinis/swimwear indoors. Bikinis and swimwear Photos are only okay if you are outdoors: for example, in a pool, at the beach or around any water body. But if you’re indoors, that’s a Big No-No, since it looks too much like underwear.
No pictures in underwear.
On that note, no pictures in your underwear either.
No Shirtless/underwear Mirror Selfies.
And same goes for men, no shirtless photos—unless you’re in a pool, at the beach or around any water body. Photos of erections under clothing will also be removed.
No watermarks or text overlaid.
Photos will be removed if they show a phone number, email address, kik, Facebook address, etc). Repeated violation of this rule or other suspicious behavior may result in the profile being blocked as well.
No pornographic photos.
Nudity and explicit sexual content is not allowed anywhere on Poker Date. Photos that are not fully nude but which are deemed offensive or inappropriate and are erotic, i.e. crotch grabbing, posing sexually on a bed, close up photos of underwear, etc.
Some kink or fetish photos may be removed, depending on context. Extreme photos may result in a profile ban as well.
Images where a hand, pastie, blur effect, or sticker / icon / emoji is barely covering explicit body parts may count as nudity, depending on context, and may be removed.
We do allow nude artwork photos of you posing next to nude artwork. However, if a work of art has pornographic or explicit content, the photo will be removed.
Hateful, illegal or violent or hunting photos
Any photos with hateful imagery, anything bloody, violent, self harm, drug usage, offensive, illegal, disturbing, or otherwise inappropriate for a dating app will be removed and may also get you banned.
No guns, swords, knives.
Photos with guns, swords, knives or other weapons are definitely not allowed. However a photo of you with a weapon you at a shooting range or you are a member of the military or a law enforcement officer in uniform may be acceptable, but context is important and any photo that is seen to be threatening or otherwise inappropriate by our community will be removed.
If a photo is removed you will be told why this happened and warn that repeated offenses might get you banned.
